Oh no, wait, there are: and the first one of them has to be WHY? What the hell happened here? Was this some kind of Avatar-themed fancy dress party? Because we could’ve sworn it was the First Annual Data Awards? Has Kelis just seen our recent pictures of Amber Rose and thought, “Hell, I can do WAY better than that! No one puts Kelis in the corner, bitch!”
Also: is everyone who wears those Alexander McQueen shoes going to try to compete with Gaga? Does Alexander McQueen know what he’s unleashed here? (Answer: probably.)
Readers, we’re confused, and we’re also a little frightened. And we think we can see camel toe. Thank God it’s Friday, eh? Let’s skip the eyeball bleach this time and proceed straight to hard liquor…
Like it or loathe it, Valentine’s Day is creeping up, and so this round of Style Challenge is a free-for all. We want to know what you think would make the perfect outfit for a Valentine’s Day date. Pick your fantasy clothes, or show us what you’ll actually be wearing if you’re planning on celebrating February 14th: it’s up to you!
The usual Style Challenge rules apply, and you’ll find them under the jump. One last thing, though: do you want us to continue providing polls on Style Challenge results? Place your vote in the poll below, and we’ll go with the majority decision!
We all know she loves Alexander McQueen and Martin Margiela, but did you know Lady Gaga ALSO shops at Bed, Bath & Beyond? No, neither did we, but Kymaro, makers of the flesh-coloured body shaper you see above, claim it’s their product Her Ladyship has been wearing on stage recently, not some pricey designer number. Isn’t it good to know that Gaga is secretly as frugal and down to earth as the rest of us, even although she DOES use shapewear as pants?
The Kymaro Body Shaper (As Seen on TV!) retails for $29.99 at the aforementioned Bed, Bath & Beyond, and you can see an infomercial about it here. One thing, though: if you do decide to make like Gaga and buy yourself one of these, remember, SHAPEWEAR IS NOT PANTS. Lordy, our list of Things That Are Not Pants gets longer by the day…
This is what we call a “Mullet Dress”. From the front, it’s an ordinary, and maybe even every-so-slightly boring piece of clothing. From the back, though:
It can be hard to find a leather satchel that costs less than £100 – and they often cost even more than that. This one from ASOS, though, is only £65, is real leather, and comes in a nude colour that will work with more or less any colour you happen to be wearing at the time. (It’s also available in lime, if you prefer a bit more colour.) Roomy and classic, it’s the kind of bag that looks like it’ll get better with age, too.
As far as we’re aware, this wasn’t a fancy dress party so we have bo idea what’s going on with Paloma Faith’s makeup here – or, indeed, why she didn’t buckle up her shoes. On the plus side, though, they are great shoes: and that looks like a fabulous dress, too, from what we can see of it undeneath her coat. Despite that, though, the main question still has to be: where DID she get that hat?
