We hope you’ll excuse the gigantic image here, readers, but this is one bag that really needs to be viewed up close to be fully appreciated! In fact, if you want a closer look, we recommend heading over to Far Fetch, where you can see an even bigger version!
This is Paul Smith’s ‘Photograph’ collage bag, and as you can see, it’ll make you look like you’re carrying around pretty much everything but the kitchen sink, including books, cameras, a globe… It’s very cleverly done, and the kind of thing that makes us want to keep looking, but, being the neat-freaks that we are, we’re not sure we’d want to actually carry it around with us.
What about you? If you love it, it’s £284 at Far Fetch.

Remember the Fendi Baguette you could paint yourself? Well, this year they’ve gone one better with a bag you can SEW yourself. The Mezzo Punto is a canvas bag which comes complete with needles, threads and patterns (or you can create your own design, if you prefer) to allow you to decorate it yourself. All you have to bring to the party is yourself, plus the skill to actually make something you’d be willing to carry around.
The Mezzo Punto will be available from this month as a limited edition. No word yet on price, but given that it’s essentially a canvas bag, we’d like to think it’ll at least be less than a normal Fendi creation.
What do you think, readers? Would you buy something like this, or do you prefer your designer bags to come ready made?

Fashion designers don’t only “inspire” the high street with their main collections – they also inspire them with those diffusion lines they produce from time to time, as this Matthew Williamson for H&M peacock print dress proves. It retailed for £59,99 when it was released earlier this year, but quickly sold out, although not before the likes of Katy Perry and Nicky Hilton got their hands on it
Desire Clothing’s peacock dress, meanwhile, has short sleeves rather than long ones, plus a belt the original didn’t have, but the pattern itself is almost identical. The price, however, isn’t: it’s £18 and it’s available here.

Hi everyone!
This is just a quick note to let you all know that I’ll be on vacation for the next couple of weeks, and, as well as scheduling some posts in advance for you, I’ll be leaving the site in the capable hands of some excellent guest bloggers. These people very kindly stepped up to the plate after the server crash that almost killed The Fashion Police off for good at the end of October, and I’m really grateful to them for lending a hand and allowing me to take a much-needed break, so please make them welcome!
Comments will still be read and moderated, so hopefully there won’t be too much of a disruption for you. Thanks for your patience, and I really hope you’ll enjoy the content we have planned for you while I’m gone!
Keep fighting those crimes of fashion!

A sensible turtle-neck paired with a vaguely risqué skirt, which guarantees maximum exposure to the butt and thighs. Oh, and your shoulders. Mustn’t forget to show off those shoulders!
And here were we thinking we’d already seen the worst the ‘holey clothes’ movement could bring us!
Want to flash your thighs but keep your neck and arms well under-wraps? (Well, hell, at least it obeys the “boobs OR legs” rule!) This is £590 at Yoox.
