We have a feeling this may not be a popular opinion, but… we still kinda love these Tom Ford ‘Nikita’ sunglasses. They make a nice change from all of the bug-eye and aviator styles that’ve dominated the past few years (not that we don’t love those, too, mind you: The Fashion Police are sunglasses junkies), and they have a nice little retro twist to them, too, which is always appreciated round these here parts.

  1. My mum and I were going through my grandmother’s stuff the other day (she passed away a few years ago) and we found a pair of sunglasses almost exactly like this which would date from around the 40′s or 50′s – I immediately snapped them up and I love them, but the reactions I get vary!
.-= Selina´s last blog ..More Eyeko polishes =-.

  2. Fantastic! The retro twist makes them look classy, and anyways I was sick of the bug-eye sunglasses *before* they’d been big for more than a few years. Especially on people with small faces.

  3. they look like the glasses my mom had in the 60s and 70s…makes me feel nostalgic for being a little kid and looking at pictures of her as a young 20 something :)

  4. omg these are cute! but not at $470 LOL. i have bebe cateye looking frames ($100 or so ?) and i love that i dont look like everyone else!
its my first time to join the discussion and so far i agree with everything youve posted so far! Thank God! I met this designer who worships Margiela, Helmut Lang & CDG clothes but sometimes i dont get the stuff they put out. The REAL fashion police totally need to sharpen their critical eye so these designers dont falter.
