Kate Spade gets in the Christmas spirt with triple strand bow necklace

kate-spade-necklaceSheesh.

Now, we’re guessing most of you have probably noticed by now that your Fashion Police aren’t averse to the odd bow or two. Or, you know, seven. This Kate Spade necklace, though? Too much. Even for us. And we tend to think it’s enough to decorate your tree and gifts this Christmas – you don’t have to decorate yourself, too. Or not in the same way you’re wrapping your parcels, anyway.

Do you agree? Or would you just love to wrap yourself in this? If you would, it’s $125 from the Kate Spade website.

  1. The only occasion I can imagine wearing this is on the verge of being naughty . . .

What are the bows made of? Either out of that papery shiny ribbon stuff that people stick on presents (so it’ll get squished and look horrible really soon), or metal, which would be more hard wearing but possibly cause injuries…

  3. Katie says:

I think if the bows were real bows and not the kind you stick on top of a Christmas present, it would be much more wearable. But it just looks kind of tacky with these bows.

  4. Riali says:

i think I might love it. But not to wear, per say, just as an object. i’ve always had a fascination with those bows, how a flat ribbon can twist and turn and make such a multidimensional object. (Yes, i know, that is waaaay more than anyone should ever think about a Christmas bow, but I can’t help it.)

Anyway, it’s definitely a bit much to wear, and it looks like it could make a festive embrace into a painful experience, but i’d rather like to just hang it on the tree or something.

I love Christmas, but not that much…

this is only appropriate when wearing it with nothing else …well…maybe some sexy shoes lol…and giving yourself to your partner as a great big gift of you…great for xmas and birthdays

  7. Jaynie says:

I would just love to wrap myself in one small, delicate christmas bow for less than 20$. Not 15 for 125, though.

  8. Sandy says:

$125?? I think this constitutes daylight robbery. For about $4, I could buy all the supplies to make this myself in the holiday section of Wal-Mart. Not that I would ever do such a thing…this necklace isn’t for me.
