We have lots and lots of Emmys fashion to get through today, so we're going to do this in two parts, kicking off with Kim & Kourteny Kardashian, above, who've obviously been taking notes on the whole "black vs white" theme that's been running through fashion lately.

Leighton is always either very, very good or very, very bad in terms of fashion. Today, we think she's very, very good...
Blake Lively
Blake, meanwhile, likes to follow the WWSD (What Would Serena Do?) principle. She gets away with it, though. Sometimes.
Debra Messing
Debra almost looks like she's wearing the same dress as Blake, only draped differently, like one of those American Apparel multi way dresses. Also: lots of red, white and black so far. Another colour, please?
Jessica Lowdnes
Nuh-uh. 90210's Jessica Lowdnes goes for white too. The top of this dress is suitably grown-up, but the length makes her look like a little girl at her first party. This is a shame, because Jessica is a stunner....
Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis makes a better attempt at the three-quarter length dress. Still sticking to that red/black/white colour palette, though...
Heidi Klum

January Jones
And January Jones, who looks very statuesque here....
Patricia Arquette
And Patricia Arquette, who's almost busting out of her dress. Ouch! Those boobs are trying to escape!
Hayden Panettiere

I think Leighton’s looks like she got in a fight with a roll of toilet paper, and the toilet paper won, but not before piling extra up around her shoulders for good measure. I don’t really like any of them! Bummer.
I LOVE Mila’s dress. And to be fair, January’s is mint green, though it looks white here.

the only one i like here is mila’s…hate the double level of leighton’s…it would have been nice with the shorter layer length alone
Overall I like all of them, yeah there are some details that are a bit strange, but nothing terrible. The only two I dislike are Arquette’s and Lowdnes’ but in the case of Lowdnes she is posed awkwardly in that photo, so it might not really be that bad.
Hayden is such a cute girl, but she often picks dresses that make her look WAY older than her 20 years. She should celebrate her youth while she’s young!
Hayden looks too old for her age-matronly, not mature.
I don’t like the length of Mila’s dress. It looks too short. I know it’s suspposed to look that way, but it seems unintentional. I’d be pulling the skirt down all night.
I would actually LOVE Patricia’s dress if 1) both sides had those little sleeves and 2) it fit better in the bust area.
I hate January’s dress. Hate it hate it hate it.
I like all the dresses, they are all nice and elegant. Hayden Panettiere chose a dress that`s not appropriate to her age, she`s fresh and young and most of the time picks clothes for older women. Her hair and makeup make her look older too.
When I look at all the pictures I only see white, black and red. Kinda boring how they all picked the same colors.
