Jimmy Choo – best known for shoes, but pretty handy with the ol’ handbags, too, as this ‘Blythe’ bag demonstrates. At £1,150 it falls into the “fantasy” category for most of us, but if you do want to try and justify a purchase, it’s the kind of handbag you’d probably have forever, be able to carry everywhere, and which would comfortably hold all of your daily essentials. Oh, and if you don’t like the colour shown, it’s also available in black, which would possibly be more versatile.

There’s no easy way to say this, and we know some of you will be deeply shocked by it, but we’re going to say it anyway: we think Lady Gaga has been looking, dare we say it, quite good recently. We’re not sure if this is just a comparative thing – when you’ve been known to walk around in a flesh coloured bodysuit and not much else, almost anything will seem like an improvement – but we really quite like the gold dress shown above, for instance. Ooh! Presents! And it’s not even our birthday! (Not until the 26th, anyway. We’ll be three.)
