Knitted Ugg boots return for Winter 2009

knitted ugg boots Knitted Ugg boots return for Winter 2009Because Ugg boots just weren’t ugly enough the way they were, apparently.

Now, The Fashion Police are unashamed Ugg apologists. We see them as purely practical footwear, which come in handy for walking the dog in the winter, but which we’d no more wear as “fashion” items than we’d go out in public in our pyjamas.

These, though. These are just bed socks with soles, aren’t they?

These were reported by Rock Hyrax, who reckoned the stripey ones were probably the worst. We’d have to agree with that, but if you disagree, and want to buy yourself some, you’ll find some more information here.

every time i think uggs or crocs can’t get any worse the fashion police come and give me new examples to haunt my nightmares

i stand by that assessment :D

  2. *ashamed* Actually, I don’t really think these are so bad. Well, maybe the striped ones, which totally look like locks with soles. But I guess I’d wear the grey ones…

  3. I think Waldo from “Where’s Waldo?” would like the stripey pair. :)

I saw a fairly fashionable gal wearing a gray version of these on the subway the other day. Never though I’d see them in the flesh, but there are people buying them…

  4. I have similar striped slippers at home, [not uggs] but honestly, I just wear them at home when doing nothing at all. I’d never wear it out. People actually do that? >_<

  5. I actually received a pair of knitted UGG as a PR freebie last year. Still haven’t figured out a way to wear them {outside the house that is – inside they make great slippers in cold winter mornings}. I mean if it is above 15 degrees Celsius, i tend NOT to wear boots. If it is bellow, there is a high risk of rain, so the not-so-thick and definetly not waterproofed knit is useless…
