Fashion Trends: Face shirts

face-shirts

Fashion’s gone two-faced this Fall – and we don’t mean that in the “false” sense, it’s just that each of these shirts will ensure that you walk around with one more face than you were born with.

This isn’t exactly a new idea, of course, but it’s one that designers from Lanvin to New Look seem to have picked up and run with this season. What do you think of it, though? Will you be joining the queue to put someone else’s face on your chest, or are you happy with the face you already have?

L-R from top: Lanvin embellished face-print t-shirt; white face print vest, Miss Selfridge; D&G face jersey tank top; Vintage deco screen tank, Forever 21; T-shirt with sequins, Lanvin; Neon stripe expression top, Forever 21; lip print t-shirt, New Look

I have actually already joined the “MM face on my dress” club. I admit it’s not the most original idea, but really do like it. I don’t fancy the creepy faces though.

  3. Theresa says:

I’m not opposed to faces in general, but these examples are a bit creepy.

  4. naomi says:

no thanks…i don’t want some chick’s eye on my tit…especially if she is so sad to be there her eye make-up is running from her tears of frustration

  5. naomi says:

ooo and also…bottom right kinda looks like lady gaga…eeeek!

  6. Belle says:

I’ve always found them a bit cheap I’m afraid! I’m not quite sure why.. but they just remind me of the lycra-weird-smelling-highly-flammable clothing you find at your local market on a rainy sunday morning.
The one at top left isn’t so bad, you could almost get away with saying it’s just some random, abstract print if you didn’t look too close.

  7. Katie says:

I think the face shirts can be nice, but I think it’s kind of pointless if it’s just a random person. Like, I would probably wear one with Marilyn Monroe on it, but none of those.

  8. Rebecca says:

    Christ, this again?

    God damn it.

  9. k says:

Here’s something a lot of girls don’t realize: THEY MAKE YOU LOOK UGLY.

It’s like putting you and a model side by side for comparison. Not very flattering

  10. JJ says:

These should be phased out…its not getting any cooler

  11. Mercy says:

Oh, I am really happy with my face, I don´t need someone´s face on my chest!!
