This dress has been catching our eye at Louisa Via Roma for a couple of weeks now, and, of course, that's exactly what it's supposed to do. But is this dress a Crime of Fashion, we wonder?
The Case for the Prosecution: For reasons the prosecution can't quite put their fingers on, there's something vaguely reptilian about this dress. And the huge ruffle on the shoulder makes it look like something the Lizard Queen would wear in some kind of freaky sci-fi movie in which alien reptiles come to earth, wearing Balmain.
The Case for the Defence: It's a statement-making, eye-catching extravaganza that no one will be able to ignore. Ever.

Disturbing news has reached The Fashion Police (via Shoeperwoman) that another enforcement agency is at work, trying to decide who gets to wear what and when.
This time it's the Trade Union Congress, who have filed a motion proposing that women be required to wear "sensible shoes" at work, with heels more than one inch high being banned. Say what?

Alleged Offence: The accused are deemed to be sheer pants – a.k.a. "shants" of the legging variety. They're also accused of having a bright blue trim, to add to the ugly factor.

Fashion Police Comments: The big mystery here, we feel, isn't so much the fact that sheer leggings with a mystifying blue trim exist. No, it's the fact that they cost $150. WHY?
Verdict: Guilty as charged.
