We don’t think Sass & Bide are really giving Lassie much of a reason to come home here, do you?
In fact, if we were Lassie, we’d be running as far away from these pants as we could. Seriously, even the ruffles have ruffles here. AND they contravene the “Thou shalt not be able to be described using the word “bloomers” law.
Oh, those wacky celebrities, eh! What a bunch of jokers they are to be sure! Here’s Stacy Haiduk bringing a slightly surreal touch to the Daytime Emmy awards this weekend, with a “cat” purse that made us do a double-take when first we seen it, so life-like does it look. (Well, from a distance, anyway.)
It definitely makes a change from all the sparkly clutch bags we usually see at these events, but would you carry your lipstick and keys inside a cat? One more picture under the jump, to help you make up your mind…
Balmain have a lot to answer for right now. Mostly shoulder pads and dresses that can be described using the phrase “futuristic”, to be honest.
Ever since Kate Moss wore THAT dress, though, the high street have been falling over themselves to see who can be most “inspired” by it. So far we think Asda are in the lead, but there have been a few other contenders for the crown too. As for ASOS.com, they’ve decided to go for a top rather than a dress (although we guess if you’re Katie Price, this could count as a dress…). It’s £28, and is shown here with a pair of wet-look leggings. So, would you wear it?
Any crafters out there? Fancy knocking together one of these? Bit of chicken wire and a few feathers should do it, we reckon. Then we can call it a “feather headdress” and sell it to rich people for $781 – if we tell them it’ll look “edggy” and that it’s “designer”, they’ll definitely go for it. We’ll split the proceeds two ways and still have enough money for a nice pair of shoes each.
As we’ve noted several times now, this winter is going to have more than its fair share of sequins: they’ve been popping up on shoes, jackets, leggings, jumpsuits, you name it. They’ve also been appearing on skirts like the one above, whihc is by Rare, and so, for this Style Challenge, we’re asking you to show us what you’d wear with this skirt. Build an outfit around it using Polyvore and then post the link in the comments box: but before you do, read the Rules of the Game, which you’ll find below.
(Seriously, plaid is all well and good, but we can all agree that tartan stirrup pants are just WRONG, can’t we? Can’t we?Or would you be happy to add these to your wardrobe?)
Aha! So that’s why scrunchies are back in fashion all of a sudden! Marc Jacobs has been using them to make shoes, the old devil!
We reckon there’s a good chance Marc’s trying to use the scrunchies as a diversion here. He’s hoping that if he just racks up hair accessories on the ankle, we might not notice the ugliness of the shoes underneath.
He’s wrong about that, though. We noticed, and we’re slamming them in jail. If you want to get them out, you’re going to have to cough up $454 to Zappos.
