With retro 30’s style glam make-up/hair, these trousers could look terrific. I’d wear them. If they made a cheaper version, I’d buy them.

I’m not about to buy them for two grand, but I actually had a pair of very similar pants a while back – long, pleated, formal. They were stunning, and comfortable, and elegant, and I loved them. I like the waistband on the Pughs. Mine were sewn down I think or something over the hips. (I am, for the record, quite short and hippy, but for some reason I seem to suit wide-legged trousers anyway. Or at least enjoy wearing them, which is the same thing in the end.)

Overpriced, but I’m a sucker for that ’30s-style glamor. Plus, what a nice alternative to freezing your butt off in a skimpy cocktail dress for winter parties. But then, I’m old.

I have to agree with the old- Hollywood look those pants bring to mind (Though I’d be thinking more of Marlene or Greta in this case), but I don’t look flattering at all, and the price is just horrible!

Yeah, like Christina, I like the history that these particular pants conjure up. I never thought I’d see the return of culottes, but these are the best argument FOR them that I’ve seen.

I actually don’t mind them, they remind me a bit of the trousers that Ginger Rogers wears in the ‘Too Hot to Handle’dance routine.
I actually think I’ve seen similar trousers in quite a few 30’s movies, and they can look pretty glamourous if worn in the right combination
