I really don’t like the style of the pants-skirt and, like others, I think it just looks stupid.
I’ve often wondered why it’s such a taboo for a man to wear a skirt. It would certainly make the summer heat we are having here a lot easier to tolerate. I’d do it if other men did.

Methinks someone (MJ)is thinking with a wool filled brain space. Nice skirt, nice pants, but as a duo..eeeeaaaagggghhhhhh!!!Why in the name of the Almighty would anyone wear, much less BUY that abortion. OR BUY it for the next 2 rent checks.
YES, it’s time for the Western world to join the Restern (rest of the) World and start accepting Unbifurcated garments for men to wear. (Bifurcated means 2 holes for 2 legs, UNbifurcated means 1 hole for 2 legs.)Trousers were INVENTED for MEN to wear on the back of a horse. Those originators of trousers, the Romans and the Vikings, when they retired for the evening away from their horses, switched back to something comfortable. A toga, tunic, kilten or robe. NOT pants.
Men can get physical problems from trousers. They restrict the flow of blood to the male plumbing. When it was for horse riding, they didn’t do it 24/7. I don’t NEED trousers, I don’t HAVE a Horse, Harley or any other thing that requires me to split my legs to ride it. I don’t NEED trousers. Period.

When I was in kindergarten wearing your pleated netball skirt over your track pants was cool. This was over a decade ago so my look was so in, haha.
I agree with everyone, this look shouldn’t been seen on anyone – male or female.

So Marc thinks boys will wear this…and pay $800 for the privilege. He thinks well of himself. It would be an ideal garment for the half man-half woman in a freak show. But that is a tiny audience indeed.

Always thought that the skirt/pants combo on either men or women doesn’t look right. There are many ways to stay warm while skirted that don’t involve a pair of sweats or a pair of jeans underneath. Firstly, heavier skirt. As an example, an 8-10 yard wool kilt in a fairly heavy wool. I have a 9 yard military weight kilt, which, when combined with wool kilt hose socks is quite warm, even when the temps get below freezing. However, even a lighter-weight skirt, can be warm. If someone prefers, they can put tights or leggings on, or, again, just wear heavy kneesocks and a warm jacket.
Anyway, I’ve never had the desire when I’ve been skirted (or kilted) to put a pair of pants on underneath. It just looks stupid.

Why do skirts for men have to be so expensive? Women can find nice skirts for $10. And that’s why I go shopping in the women’s department from time to time to find me a nice skirt. Not wearing pants under it of course! Just a skirt out and about, occasionally with hose and boots, but masculine.

I agree with Mona; design a decent skirt for men. Its a question of perception, if lots of men wore skirts, you’d think nothing of it, same as women wearing pants (which was unusual 60 years ago). As for the pants-skirt, I’d lose the pants and just wear the skirt. To wear both at the same time is just plain greedy.
