If it isn't the skort/culotte revival advising me of apparently being the only girl over the age of 12 in the 1990s who enjoyed wearing them, it's the above part-time ra-ra skirt, prompting recollections of me in a multi-coloured tiered affair when I was a kid. Since they've gone this far in breeding a monstrous hybrid, I'd suggest taking the toned-down bow/front-pelmet thing from the New Look design, and crossing it with River Island's tulip-style skirt.
