I remember thinking culottes (which is what we called skorts back then) were the coolest thing EVER when I was 12. I always wore shorts under my skirts otherwise, so I could play without worrying about flashing my undies to the whole school yard. Now? Well I must say I'm swayed by Kel's skort (which really seems more like a skirt with built in shorts than an actual skort -- but in any case is quite cute) but I guess I've gotten more utilitarian as I've aged. Now if I'm participating in activities where a skirt would be a liablity (biking or other sports) I just wear shorts or capris or long pants, depending on the weather. Hmmm.
