Case Closed: Paris Hilton in cutaway swimsuit
We've been wondering for a while now just who's been buying all of those cutaway swimsuits the stores just can't seem to stop churning out at the moment…

We wonder no more. This photo of Paris Hilton is a few weeks old, but it still answers that all-important question. Tell us, though: are we alone in hating this swimwear trend? Because they always remind us of those outfits female bodybuilders wear, and they always seem to come in the loudest, most garish prints available – in fact, Paris, here, is wearing one of the more subtle of this type of swimsuit, and "subtle" isn't a word we're used to using in the same sentence as "Paris Hilton".
And yet, it's been two years now, and still we see these for sale, which means people – not just Paris – must be buying them. Are you buying them? What do you think of them?

Actually I like them! They’re kind of a compromise between a bikini and a one-piece…You kind of cover your middle, but not look fat…Know what I mean? I think they’re kind of interesting looking, I like them.
Actually, they don’t all come in terrible colours and patterns, there are quite a few out there in plain black. There are some nice ones too.

I don’t like this one, but I could probably be sold on a monokini look. Also I hate the head band and matching sunglasses.
I have never seen one that didn’t come off a little slutty.
I think some of them are hot! You really need a matching hot body to pull them off though.
they’re terribly unflattering to more than half of the population and personally, when I see the I think of the women in rap music videos. Not a look you usually strive for.
I haven’t been able to find one that (a) is in my price range and (b) actually fits me, but trust me if I could, I would SO be wearing one this summer! I think they are adorable. The only problem I have with them is the potential for funky tan lines… But we’re all wearing sunscreen right?
I haven’t seen that fluorescent ribbon trend anywhere outside of the US. Seems like all the hipsters here wear it
ugh…I’m with Brandy – slutty. I guess I’ve just looked in the wrong places. Sometimes Paris can look fab but that ones its just not very flattering
I hate them, especially the ones from Delia’s and victoria’s secret, they will make anyone look fat
I’d be too afraid of running around and being exposed for that kind of suit! No my two piece that covers all the right spots with a little cut away at the bust is just fine for me.
Oh, heavens. No matter that she insists on wearing that thing, must she pair a headband with EVERYTHING these days?
I think they’re great, IF you get a non skanky cut. the one paris is wearing is too low cut for and risque for anyone bigger than her A-cup size. But I’ve seen ones with more trustworthy bikini style top haves that I would definetly rock this summer.
