I’m with you on the airport style fascination (People have a little style section completely devoted to it). I’d love to strike the balance between comfy and stylish. Always feel I miss it by *this much*, though.

I’m not into the pegged jeans look, but I like the rest of what she’s wearing.
I’m a comfort flyer. I avoid the sweatpants, but also avoid wearing any metal. My next flight I’m going with a jersey dress, leggings, and a sweater.

I usually try to dress both comfortably and presentably when I fly. I’ve noticed though that I dress up more on the flight out than on the flight home (although the last time, I dressed up — in skirt, no less — on the way home because of laundry issues) I guess normally I want to look nice when I get where I’m going.
But you know, I miss the days when people dressed up to fly. When I was a kid, dressing for a flight was something like dressing for church (which has also changed in my lifetime) Men wore suits. Women wore nice dresses.
While I like having more options and I’m in favor of being comfortable, I advocate using a little style with your comfort. I do like the way Diane handled it.

Personally, I love pictures of Dita at the airport. She always strikes the right balance, never too dressy, but never scruffy. She looks comfortable, but as flawless as ever.

I would absolutely dress more like Diane, which is more dressed up than a lot of people at the airport. Pajamas and sweats seems to be the normal outfit, and I just can’t. But this is adorable, and super comfy. Way to do it, Diane!
