We’re still looking for guest posts to be published here at The Fashion Police during our vacation in June, so if you’ve ever fancied joining the force and having your say about fashion, now’s the time to do it.
You’ll have to act quickly, though, because you only have one more week to get your submission to us: we’ll be accepting guest posts up until June 7th, so if you’d like to submit something click here first to read our submission guidelines, and remember to search the site before you start writing to make sure we haven’t covered the topic before.

Let’s play a game.
Everyone familiar with Polyvore? The site that can suck up hours of your life as you browse items and put together outfits? Good.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to use Polyvore to create an outfit based around the item shown above: in this case, a pair of wet-look leggings. We’ve deliberately chosen something a little bit difficult to style, because… well, because we’re mean and cruel, and because we’re hoping the outfits you come up with will provide inspiration to us all on how to wear some of those more “difficult” trends of the moment.
How to Play:
1. Log-in to Polyvore (you may need to create an account first, if you don’t already have one)
2. You’ll find the leggings here. Build your outfit around them (be as creative as you like), save it and then…
3. Post a link to your completed outfit in the comments on this post. We’ll publish them all next week sometime, and you can vote for your favourite.
4. If you don’t want to use Polyvore, feel free to post a link to another image, or email one to us. If you’re doing it that way, though, please make sure you also provide links to the items you’ve used, and send one single image of the finished outfit, rather than individual pictures of each item.
We’ve posted our (very quick) attempt under the jump to show you what we mean. We’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with, though!

We’ve been loving River Island’s line in summer tops lately, especially the three shown above, which have a bit of a retro feel to them. These are all fairly simple shapes, but they’ll be perfect for work, and an easy way to dress up a pair of jeans or pencil skirt. The two tops on the right and left of the picture are £29.99 each, while the one in the middle is, as you can see, reduced to £17. Not bad considering you’re also getting a belt, which you’ll be able to wear with other pieces, too.
Get them at River Island.

This 3.1 Philliip Lim waistcoat has certainly been around the block a few times: it was one of the sellout items of the season, so if you're hoping to get your hands on it, well, keep on hoping…
Meanwhile, here's Sheryl Crow, pairing the waistcoat with a pair of white capris to the Sesame Workshop's 7th Annual Benefit Gala at Cipriani. With all that pristine white, we can only hope those muppets managed to keep their hands out of the cookie jar!

Beth Ditto is currently designing a plus-size fashion range for UK store Evans. Here she is out in London last night wearing a distinctive road sign-print dress that we're almost 100% sure we've seen on another celebrity a while back, but we clearly haven't had enough coffee yet this morning, because we can't for the life of us remember who it was.
Anyway, back to Beth: we'll definitely be interested to see what she comes up with for Evans, because if this dress is anything to go by, at least we know it's not going to be boring. What do you think of it?

We gave Kelly Osbourne a gold star when she wore Luella's floral print prom dress last year, and now we're giving Matalan one too, for creating a version of it that's only £25. Doesn't really get much more affordable than that, does it?
This isn't an exact copy, obviously, and quite apart from anything else it has spaghetti straps rather than the short sleeves on the Luella dress, but the print is almost identical, the tulle underskirt is the same, and it's just downright cute. It's also selling out fast: it's already sold out online once, and may or may not still be available by the time you come to read this post, but the Matalan closest to the Fashion Police HQ had lots of these last time we popped in, so it might be a good idea to give your branch a call and check to see if they have it.

A simple little clutch bag, in a wear-with-anything colour, and some studs on the flap to give it a slightly rockier edge than most bags of this size. This has a bit of an 80s feel to it, but for once we don't object to that.
It's made of leather and is £35 from Accessorize.

Shoeperwoman can’t decide whether she loves or hates Jimmy Choo’s patent ‘Loop’ sandals. Tell her what you think here.
Dollface loves Drew Barrymore’s blue eyeshadow.
Realtor’s still loving Union Jack furniture – and when she finds pieces like this, we can’t blame here.
The Grumpy Old Bloggers say the humble cassette tape is making a comeback. We can’t wait to start making mix tapes again!
And Forever Amber isn’t having the best week ever…

There aren't many occasions in the live of a Fashion Police officer that call for a tiny little straw boater, but if there were, we'd be all over this one by Chapeau Claudette.
It's £28 at ASOS.com, and if you have somewhere to wear it, you can pick one up at ASOS.com.

This picture is actually a couple of weeks old, but we haven't had a Star Style War for a while, and this is one we're particularly interested in the outcome of, because of the two of them, one appears to have forgotten her pants and the other… is wearing a play suit.
One of them must emerge triumphant in this round of Star Style Wars, though, and it's up to you, our readers, to decide who it is: Leighton Meester or Blake Lively. Who's the best dressed? Place your votes in the poll you'll find under the jump, and if you feel like leaving a comment to explain your choice, so much the better!
