We prevaricated over this jacket for so long that it went out of stock in the colour we wanted. Then it came back into stock, but by then we'd lost all hope and spent our money on shoes instead. Oh, the humanity!
We present it to you no so you can learn from our mistakes and not replicate them. All we ask is that, if you do buy it, you think of us occasionally when you wear it. It's available in red, black or dark grey, and you can buy it at Anthropologie.
Good ol' Diane Kruger can generally be relied on to wear something attention-stealing on the red carpet, but what we want to know today is, did she steal your attention for good reasons or bad ones?
Here she is, attending the Friends of New Yorkers for Children 'New Year's in April' Benefit in NYC last night, wearing a feathery lilac creation in a style we've been seeing rather a lot of recently. Feathered dresses often tend to draw Big-Bird comparisons from our readers, and we can totally understand why, but what do you think of this one? Crime of Fashion or innocent of all charges?
Our apologies for bringing you two posts about Drew Barrymore in as many days, but Drew seems to be really enjoying herself fashion-wise at the moment, and we happen to think she's looking pretty good. Here she is last night arriving for her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman, in a dramatic black dress with billowing sleeves and a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals which are Shoe Porn at its finest.
The shoes are £415, and available at Net-a-Porter. The dress, meanwhile, is Giambattista Valli, and has had mixed responses around the blogging world: what do you think of it?
You know, we’ve tried. We really have. But we’re still no closer to answering that puzzling question: who’s buying stuff like this? And where are they wearing it?
If you can help solve this mystery, and close the case, please leave us your comment below. If you actually ARE the person who’s buying saggy jumpsuits that are slashed almost to your belly-button, meanwhile, you can add this one to your collection here.
Did you know The Fashion Police is also available on Twitter? Thank you for making this dress. It's gone some way towards restoring our faith in you after some of the more, er, interesting designs you've been coming up with lately. We appreciate it.
Love,
The Fashion Police
P.S. If you appreciate it too, it's £50 and you can buy it here.
