Leighton Meester and the Suit of Many Colours

"If I flash my bra at you, Fashion Police, will it distract you from the suit? No? Damn."
Looks like multicoloured suit crimes are on the increase: last week we arrested Katy Perry for wearing an outfit we can still see when we close our eyes, so vivid were its colours, and now poor Leighton Meester finds herself similarly attired, in this Alexander McQueen creation.
Leighton won't be joining Katy in the Fashion Police jail, however, because this image was taken for the New York Times magazine, making the stylist for the shoot the true criminal here, and Leighton but a helpless victim.
Following on so quickly after what we think of as The Katy Perry Incident, not to mention today's Wear or Die selection, however, we have to admit, we're concerned. Who will be the next victim of the Multicoloured Suits? Where will it all end? And what on earth would Chuck Bass think?
Is this option C in your “Wear or Die” throwdown?
It is dreadful, but i have another concern. Doesn’t this resemble strikingly with McQueen’s Crystal print he’s been using lately? Not that i like it, but it just seems like a bit of a copyright issue to me.
Madeline, I’m not sure I’m understanding your question correctly, but this is an Alexander McQueen design, so if you’re aksing whether it’s infringing McQueen’s copyright, no, it’s not.
I could almost deal with it,but what the heck is going on with the hips.
I was wondering about the hips too – either one of those boxy skirt things but on trousers, or the shape of the jacket, which might even be quite nice if it was in black (or pinkish red or the Chief’s favourite shade of green).
Bigger question though: is the pattern meant to depict fish, fairies and angry jaguars?
Hey, thanks Amber, it was my mistake. As i didn’t know who Leighton Meester was, i thought it was a designer’s name. Sorry! Promise to read your posts more carefully next time
i think.. that the print is rather nice. and i do kind of like the style of the jacket. however, maybe the jacket paired with a nice pair of black or white pants… would be more flattering i think.
