Biba for Topshop – what do you think?

Biba-for-topshop

This model is waving her hands in the air, like she just don't care. Why? Because she's modelling pieces from the Biba for Topshop collection, which launches this Thursday. Well, wouldn't you be excited, too? Even although the clothes in question may or may not be pyjamas?

Pyjamas-side, we're excited about this collection because… well, because it's designed by Barbara Hulanicki of Biba, and that's all kinds of cool. What about the clothes themselves, though? Well, there are some images under the jump, and you can view the full look book here. Remember to tell us what you think!

  1. Kata says:

The lavender dress is really nice.

  2. Arielle says:

The purple dress is cute but I do not like the rest of it.
Though I suppose the clothing that looks like pyjamas is actually a step up from wearing actual pyjamas out in public.

  3. Danny says:

Wow, the lavender dress really stands out.
I was looking at all the clothes and going like “ew, ew, ugh, *sees lavender dress* DO WANT.”
And what’s up with the orange dress? So 80’s, and NOT in a good way.

  4. Mousy says:

Like others have said, I love (and want) the lavender dress. The other garments are just not making me happy.

  5. Evelyn says:

Like the others, I think the lavender dress is nice…but what’s with the one with the hand rubbing the nipple??? That’s just trashy.

  6. Moni says:

I agree: I really like the last dress. The tank top would be okay if it had a regular back. The rest – no, thanks.

  7. Kathleen says:

The lavender dress is cute. As for the rest? No thank you.

  8. peachfish says:

I find the lavender dress merely “meh.” I don’t think we’d all be so excited by it if it weren’t preceded by so much absolute crap.

  9. Hypertigur says:

hrm I also like the lavender one. But I think the lace one is kind of cute too.

  10. Theresa says:

Its all pretty terrible except the last dress, which as everyone else mentioned, is adorable.

  11. Mandy says:

that first dress is awkward, and the second one is worse. I wouldn’t be caught dead in any of them but that last one. It’s so cute it looks completely out of place in this collection!

  12. nj says:

the poor model needs some oranges…i think she may have scurvy

  13. Belle says:

I love that little orange dress with the circle pattern.. the vests are okay, could be nice, but you can get them elsewhere for alot less money (assuming Topshop are going to charge extortionate prices..) It’s fine. Not offensive or anything :P But not exactly ‘WOW’ either.

  14. Kate says:

Last dress is ADORABLE but everything else is pretty bad, IMHO.

  15. chocoholic says:

I was going to “yuck” until I saw the purple dress, which is gorgeous.

  16. Melanie says:

For me I think the purple dress just looks good by comparison … it’s OK, but nothing to get excited about. The rest is just yuck.

  17. Nina says:

Overall impression: quite bad. But I agree, the purple dress is nice.

  18. a woman says:

Like everyone else here: Love the lavendar dress, hate everything else. Ew..

  19. MN says:

The last dress was gorgeous! It would stand out better if it was in a brighter color , like deep red. The rest of the pieces were just scary.

  20. Rock Hyrax says:

I think the first dress would be OK if it didn’t have that weird picture on it that would make your breasts look like they were wearing glasses.
