River Island top mauled by vicious dogs, Fashion Police investigating

Orange-sweater-river-island

Our Police Dog once did this to one of the Chief's sweaters. Oh, what a terrible day that was: it lives in infamy.

Now it would seem the same fate has befallen this orange top from River Island. Poor thing: we have no idea what it did to deserve this, but we can only commend its bravery, because despite having sustained horrific injuries in the attack,by an unknown assailant, it is still offering itself up  for sale, for the price of £29.99. Good on you, brave top! Just because you've been ripped to shreds, it doesn't make you any less of a top, you know? We applaud you. Just don't ask us to actually wear you, because we're afraid the answer to that one would have to be "no".

  1. Madeline says:

I don’t know, that sweater is kinda nice. Does that make me a criminal?

  2. Nadya says:

I agree with Madeline and would probably wear it with a white top or camisole underneath!

  3. Zoe says:

I.. don’t really see anything wrong with it either. Apart from it being a rather ’90s German post order company type garment.

  4. Celeste says:

It looks like the knitting machine went hay-wire and they decided to act like it was on purpose, instead of fixing the machine.

  5. Helen-LG says:

I have a feeling they may have been going for a SS09 Rodarte look.. It doesn’t completely work though. I might be more tempted if it were in black and I wore it over something in that shade.

  6. kuri says:

Looks like dropped stitch lace. I like the effect in moderation, but this is a bit much.

  7. DesignerElla says:

There’s actually a way to knit something like this; it’s not deconstructed. It’s a fun & easy method.
The top is all sorts of unfab though.

  8. chocoholic says:

It might be cool in a different colour

  9. For £29.99! Now how did the fashion police miss this one! An out of this world blazing orange shirt. This is an outlandish thing man!

  10. Rock Hyrax says:

I would wear it, but like Helen-LG would prefer in black, worn over something in colour.

  11. a woman says:

Erm… what’s wrong with it? Sure, it’s not exactly pretty and although I wouldn’t wear it, I could see someone (probably someone slimmer) wearing it and rocking this look. Most likely with a tank top underneath.

  12. J says:

yeah, i kind of like it too! although i’m not sure how i would wear it…

  13. Diandra says:

I actually like it, but maybe not in orange?
