Hussein Chalayan attempts to make builder’s butt fashionable
Builder's butt. It's one of the most heinous of fashion crimes, but luckily for us, it's a crime that tends only to be committed by actual builders. Oh, and by reality TV "stars", obviously.
Now, however, it's also being committed by models in Hussein Chalayan's Fall 09 fashion show. These aren't their real butts, of course: they're fake ones. But somehow we don't think that's going to get them off the hook if they ever find themselves facing the Fashion Police jury, do you?

Yes, the back is indeed a tragedy. But the front, now it’s another type of tragedy all it’s own. The front looks to me almost exactly like Ricardo Montalban’s chest in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan:

Have to say, with the horrors going on at the front of that dress the builder-bum is barely noticeable.
Weird, and awful. But it reminds me that I’ve heard of a type of shorts or pants(trousers) called bumsters before. I think they were a design joke, but I know I’ve seen a photo. Also, I have to say “Builders Bum” is much nicer than the American term for it: “Plumbers Crack”.
Shall we just give the dress to Lady Gaga and be done with it?
