Daylight Robbery: The £100 bloomers

Silk bloomers Daylight Robbery: The £100 bloomers

OK, is anyone else just seeing a pair of reasonably plain black knickers here? And, ok, they're silk, but still… doesn't really make us want to pay £100/ $144 for them.

And yet, these are sold out at Net-a-Porter, so it seems we have a mystery on our hands: The Mystery of the Expensive-Yet-Ordinary Bloomers.

Can you help us solve it, readers? Can you enlighten us as to why these might be worth paying £100 for? We'd love to be able to close this case…

  1. well if i may play devil’s advocate, i can see the attraction to these. they offer full coverage for comforts sake but they’re still sheer and sexy in a kinky lil’ bo peep way. Under a nice structured tweed skirt, These would be very pleasant, I think.

  2. They remind me of the disposable knickers you’re given when you go for a surgical procedure, so perhaps they’re sterile, for the very rich and fashion-conscious. (They probably come with a matching backless shress…)

  3. I love expensive lingerie as much as the next girl, but if I’m going to spend that much on a pair of bloomers they need to have some amazingly intricate detail or have super derriere-shaping powers.
