Summer? What do you mean? Here in Minnesota we don’t have “summer.” Our seasons are: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction/Mosquito.

I’m actually quite annoyed by this phenomenon. I lost one of my favorite gloves this week, so I went back to the shop where I bought them, only to be told that it is now spring, and they no longer carry winter items like mittens and gloves. Spring? It is February, and quite cold right now! I actually tend to shop in reverse, and buy things that are on sale from last season. It works with wardrobe essentials, and then I can save my splurge money for the fantastic things that are being put out for the new season.

I tend to buy in season or at the end of season when there are great sales. But if I see something I like that’s out of season and on sale, I’ll snap it up. It’s still chilly here in Boston but I just bought two spring shirts over the weekend because they were cute and on sale.

I live in Canada. Summer?
I don’t have a summer wardrobe, really. I have a couple of sundresses if I feel like getting gussied up and the rest of the time, it’s just my winter wardrobe minus the sweater. You tend to dress in layers up here – t-shirt or blouse under sweater/blazer, so in the summer you just knock out a layer.
I don’t even own shorts. If it’s really, really hot, I’ll wear a skirt. I have a couple of summery skirts.

i never buy winter clothes, that’s my big problem. my winter wardrobe consists of all my summer clothes on top of each other and a cardigan on it. i can’t stand wool on my skin and i have the dull color of most winter clothes. needless to say, i’m usually cold these days.

Well I buy summer stuff in Feb, but then I am in the southern hemisphere enjoying a lovely summer.
But I don’t buy in season as such. You can get some great stuff in end of season sales, and I usually can find a way to wear it. And I’m a huge fan of layering so I still wear my summer dresses in winter.

Well I live in Houston, Texas where it pretty much feels like summer 9 months out of the year. In fact, our winters are so warm that half the time I wear summer clothes in the middle of January. So needless-to-say, I buy summer clothes year-round
