Ugly Prom Dress of the Week: the Strawberry Shortcake

Ugly prom dres of the week Ugly Prom Dress of the Week: the Strawberry Shortcake

Judging by some of the comments we get on the various Ugly Prom Dresses in the Fashion Police cells, we know some of you are going to just love this one, and that's great: you can wear it, so we don't have to!

We, meanwhile, think this looks like Strawberry Shortcake just threw up all over it. And we can't blame her, really: the pinkness, the ruffles, the flowers… None of these things on their own would make for an ugly prom dress, of course, but put them altogether, mix for a few minutes, and you end up with a Toilet Doll with a serious penchant for pink. And let us just be blunt: there's no good way to dress like a toilet doll. We're sorry to disappoint you, but there just isn't.

  1. The worst part is, SOMEONE will buy it and then, inevitably, they will WEAR it, thereby infecting others…this is how ugliness travels…

  2. This dress is ideal for some of those county fair type deals this summer. Miss Butter Queen or Miss Cabbage Rose would look just dandy in something like that.

  3. Seriously, it’s just twee enough to wear ironically, with a big frou frou hat and heavy pink blush and false eyelashes and sweetheart lips. I think a Strawberry Shortcake theme party is in order.

  4. I did follow the link to the website it came from, and while they have some dress duds, they also have THE most elegant and classy prom dress I have EVER seen. I would wear it on my wedding day if I could get it shipped to the states. (And if I could get a wedding in order! lol)

But this dress? I agree with whoever said butter queen. It DOES have county fair written all over it!

  5. this drees looks like a cupcake! i want to eat it not wear it. unless you want little fisd runnug up to you and taking a nibble DO NOT WEAR THIS!
