Fancy wearing a designer dress to your next big event? Can't afford to actually buy one? Join the club. Luckily, though, there is a solution and the Shoegal has found it! She wrote about Girl Meets Dress last week, and of course we had to find out what you all thought of it.
This is a service very much like Bag, Borrow or Steal, but instead of handbags, you're "borrowing" designer dresses. The idea is fairly straightforward: you simply browse the site, find a dress you like (current designers include Fendi, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and more, but they promise new additions every Tuesday), and then "borrow" it for anything up to seven days before returning it.
Prices start from around £30, but depend on the dress itself and the length of time you want to borrow it, and unfortunately the sizing is pretty limited, with dresses currently only available in sizes 8 – 14.
So far, so straightforward, but what do you think about this idea? Can you see yourself paying to borrow a dress, or would you rather just save up and buy one outright? Visit the site here and remember to come back and tell us what you think!
