Christian Louboutin creates Marie Antoinette-inspired shoe collection

Christian-louboutin-marie-a

Limited edition, $6,295 per pair, and created in conjunction with embroiderer Jean-Francois Lesage of the House of Lesage, we somehow don't think Christian Louboutin's Marie Antoinette-inspired shoes are aimed at us mere mortals, but they're certainly interesting to look at.

These will be sold from Louboutin's Madison Avenue boutique from February 26th, and only 36 pairs will be created, so if you want one pair to be yours, you better start queuing now.

So, who wants to place bets on which 36 celebrities will be seen with these on their feet?

No chance will Jordan wear those. No chance in hell. They’re gorgeous though.

  4. Evil Dolly says:

While they may be ornate, did 6000 plus dollars worth of work really go into making them? Are they embroidered with rare thread spun from cotton plants dusted daily with ground precious gems?
