Fashion Police at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2009 – The Good (Kate Winslet, Christina Applegate, Marisa Tomei, Freida Pinto, America Ferrera )

Awards season is a busy time of year, both for The Fashion Police and for those poor, beleaguered celebrities, who have to tread the red carpet time and time again, each time coming up with an outfit even more stunning than the last.

Luckily for them – and us – we didn’t find too much to concern us in this particular batch of images from last night’s ceremony, although you, of course, may have different ideas!

Above: Kate Winslet dresses to suit her figure in a blue dress by Narciso Rodriguez.  More under the jump!

Christina Applegate in Emanuel Ungaro : it could just be our love of green talking, of course, but this is a striking look, and perfectly accessorized with the red lipstick and simple gold chain.

Marisa Tomei in Elie Saab – such a pretty gown, and also lovely from the back…

Freida Pinto in Marchesa – you’d just want to swish around like a princess all night in this, wouldn’t you?

America Ferrera in Vera Wang – she almost always look great on the red carpet, and while the dull colours of this dress will probably make some of you hate it, we think it somehow works perfectly with her simple hairdo and red lips and nails.

Christina Applegate really surprised me, gosh she looks so good. The dress is just amazing (and love the color;)). and hands down to Kate, she’s been looking better than ever recently

Christina Applegate is the winner in this batch. The highlights in her hair are PERFECT with the gown…she looks so feminine and regal. Kate looks amazing too, but I’ve come to expect that from her. The rest…eh, I’ve seen them do better.

Not keen on Ferrera and Pinto, but I like the rest.

I don’t love Ferrera’s dress. It’s pretty, but I don’t think the color suits her skin tone well. I like the simplicity, just not that particular tan.

It’s funny … the yahoo story I saw analyzing the outfits was pretty much the complete opposite of your opinions. I agree with yours, though!

Christine Applegate Looks STUNNING! What a testimony to women battling breast cancer and the aftermath of surgery. Her look screams to them: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
