Sigh. Chloe’s ‘Shelby’ shoulder bag. OK, it’s expensive – in fact, it’s £1,170 worth of “expensive”, which makes it very much a fantasy buy for us, but in its defense, at least it looks expensive, no? It also looks sturdy, luxurious, and exactly the kind of bag you’d have for years, take absolutely everywhere, and which would only get better with age. Oh, and which would carry just about everything you wanted it to, into the bargain.
This dress could’ve stepped right out of the late 50s/early 60s, and of course, we just love the sheer retro-cuteness of it – not to mention the gorgeous teal colour. It’s Nanette Lepore’s Desert Rain dress and it has a very ladylike look about it – we can just imagine it worn with kid gloves and a pillbox hat, but if you’d rather NOT turn up to wherever you’re going looking like you’re in fancy dress as Jackie O, you might just want to play that aspect of it down with a pair of sexy high heels instead.
Hot on the vertiginous heels of Madonna, and her stint as a model for Louis Vuitton, here are a couple of shots from Victoria Beckham’s campaign for Armani, due to hit billboards this Spring. Despite being ads for lingerie, not handbags, there’s still a lot less crotch than the Madonna campaign, you’ll be pleased to know, and we think Mrs Beckham looks pretty hot, all things considered. There’s one more after the jump – don’t forget to tell us what you think!
Of course, we might’ve known this would happen. No sooner do The Fashion Police resolve to spend a little bit less on clothes than the stores suddenly start filling up with our very favourite colour: green. We’re powerless to resist.
These are just a few examples of the green coloured items we’ve spotted in the course of our police duties. If green’s definitely not your colour, however, don’t worry – there are still plenty of other options around too!
Fashion Police reader Jannet asked us to put this Russian Doll bag by Chanel, seen here carried by Lily Allen this week, up On Trial, and because we’re all heart, of course we agreed.
We must say, we love Lily’s look here, with a white Givenchy jacket over a navy knitted dress, and we think the bag is cute too. What do you think, though, readers? Do you love it or is it too much of a collector’s item for you to get any use out of (especially given the £2,500 price tag)?
"Yeah, I’m wearing earrings made out of hair. SO? You wanna make something of it?"
At first glance, you could be forgiven for thinking that’s the model’s own hair hanging over her shoulders, and that she’s simply dip-dyed it, because she is "wacky" and cool like that.
You would be wrong, though, for if you look closely, you’ll see that these are, in fact, earrings. Hair earrings. Earrings made out of human hair. And we’re just not sure how we feel about that. On the one hand, it actually doesn’t look bad. Or at least, not as bad as the words "earrings made out of hair" would generally lead us to believe. On the other hand, though, the thought of having to comb our earrings is just a little bit odd, and we just know we’d get them caught on all kinds of things, thus pulling them painfully from our ears. Ouch.
We’re also not sure we’d pay $286 for ANY earrings, let alone these, but if you would, you can buy them here.
The Grumpy Old Bloggers tipped us off about these gun-embossed suitcases which are being sold by the website Kids Love Design. All we can say is that kids may well love design, but will airport security staff love these cases when someone tries to take them on board (and you just know someone will, don’t you?)? We think not. What do you think, though? "Black humour" as the makers claim, or just plain old bad taste?
