Strange Swimsuits: Melissa Odabash Sardegna fringed swimsuit

fringed swimsuit Strange Swimsuits: Melissa Odabash Sardegna fringed swimsuitThanks for the thought, Melissa Odabash, but we think we’ll take our £440 swimwear without the fringing, if it’s all the same to you – although we must admit, the fringed “butt curtain” on this one did make us smile.

We do like the way Net-a-Porter have styled this on their website, though, i.e:

What they say: “Shown here with a Diane von Furstenberg dress, Roberto Cavalli cuff, Jimmy Choo sandals and a Roberto Cavalli tote.”

What they mean: “We’ve completely covered it up. Well, wouldn’t you?”

Voila:

  1. Ha! Love it. Shown here with dress- to completely cover it up, shiny bangle – to distract anyone from looking at it too closely, hu-mongous bag – to hide behind should you be tempted at any point to remove dress or bangle.
Melissa Odabash Sardegna fringed swimsuit= FAIL.

  2. Just imagine how the fringe would feel once you were out of the water.. like a bunch of limp jellyfish tentacles clinging to the back of your thighs.

  3. i hope this melissa isn’t the same one of the ‘fabulous’ plastic shoes. :S what is it with designers named melissa?

  4. I saw this and was horrified. It looks like something an ‘exotic’ dancer would wear. The idea that someone would pay nearly £500 for this instead of £40 for one from M&S is a joke.
