Star Bride Style Wars: Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson at the Bride Wars New York premiere

Spl71160_0131

Their movie is called “Bride Wars”, so naturally The Fashion Police couldn’t resist starting a Star Style War between Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, particularly when the two actresses turned up wearing very different styles to the film’s New York premiere last night.

Kate went the traditional red (or green, in this case) carpet route, in a dramatic black and white gown, while Anne kept it simple in a sharp black suit and gold heels. We think both women looked fabulous, but hey, it’s a style war out there and there can only be one winner, so who do you think won this round: Kate or Anne? (Look under the jump for the poll!)

    Anne – definitely Anne.

  2. Cadi says:

Kate’s look is “Gimme Attention!”, while Anne’s is sleek and chic. Clearly Anne has my vote.

Kate looks so out there… a little too out there… I think her dress is just awful, simply put. It’s almost like a two-piece.
Anne is very classy. Original. Ecclectic. And I would go with the same approach she went with. No competition.

While I like Anne’s suit outfit, I would have preferred her wearing pants that are just a little bit longer and wider in the leg. And a necklace or scarf of some kind to add a touch of colour.
Kate’s dress may not be everyone’s taste, but I like it and do vote in her favour.

I read on another fashion blog that Kate and Anne’s stylist, Rachel Zoe (of course, who else could it possibly be?), had this idea to loosely dress them as a bride and groom, though Kate’s dress doesn’t really scream bridal. That said though, I like Anne’s suit much better.

  6. Sonya says:

I like Kate’s dress. Nice print, though I would like it without the two piece feel better.
