Ever had one of those days when you just can’t decide whether you want to keep it casual in a plain jersey tank, or dress it up in a slinky little black number? Well, worry not, for Alexander Wang has come rushing to your rescue with his satin and jersey combo dress, which is a hybrid of the two.
At first glance we weren’t sure whether the imbalance of this dress was kinda cool and quirky, or whether it made the model look a little bit like her dress is in the process of falling off. We’re still not sure, which is why we’re turning this decision over to you, our Fashion Police Jury. What do you feel for this dress? Love? Hate? Indifference? Do tell…

Hah! I can see why this is on this blog, but I’m an unapologetic alexander wang fan, and this is JUST his style, a mix of silky fabric and edgy/trashy aethetic. I dig it.
I think I would love it more if the jersey section wasn’t jersey. At first I thought it was grey satin, which would be stunning. As it is I like it, but don’t love it.
This is so close to being gorgeous. I like it, but as Holly says, if the jersey was satin, or even if it didn’t look quite so much like something I’d bought at Tesco to sleep in, it would be an amazing dress.
I like it but I’m not keen on the jersey bit, it would be better as a matt thick silk.
I don’t like it. I wouldn’t mind it, if, as other comments suggested, the jersey were of a nicer fabric.
Excellent for those aerobic dinner parties…
Actually, I rather love this… =P
I don’t like it.
Love it!! Wangers rule!
I agree that the jersey should probably be a nice matte satin.
The split on the leg doesn’t help the sloppiness of the dress, either.
Overall, I don’t much like it.
Horrible! It looks like someone’s ripped half her dress, and she was (inexplicably) wearing the jersey tank underneath it.
I actually really like it, and I’m not even that much of a Wang fan. it’s atypical en classy. Maybe the split could be just a little less high, but overall I like it.
I adore the shape of the dress, yet I wouldn’t hesitate to replace its lesser half (i.e. the rather questionable undershirt-like portion) with that gorgeous black satin. Also, the right side would look better a bit more sewn up.
I like it, could’ve done without the slit on the leg though.
