Style on Trial: See by Chloe Daisy print dress

see by chloe Style on Trial: See by Chloe Daisy print dressSometimes in the depths of winter it can be good to give your outfits a burst of colour – especially if you’re planning on travelling somewhere hot, which is, after all, what the cruise collections are designed for.

Sometimes, though, it can be all too easy to go too far with that whole “burst of colour” thing, and we’re wondering if that’s the case with this See by Chloe dress, which is $695 at Nordstrom. It’s either adorable and fun or it’s the kind of thing that’ll make the people around you glad they’re wearing dark glasses. Either way, that print will get you noticed, but will it be for all the right reasons or all the wrong ones?

This dress is On Trial, folks: tell us – what do you think of it?

  1. The print’s dated and the shape is rubbish. It basically looks like it’s from the Primark bargain basket. I would rather cook my own feet than pay $695 for this.
In conclusion, the brightness is the least of it’s worries.

  2. I’d totally wear it, actually. I like the bright print, and I quite like the cut as well. I think it would look cute with a big black belt and sunglasses, or, for non-cruise time, with a pair of black tights and boots.

  3. I like the bright print, but (as others have said) the shape isn’t so good. You might as well drape a tablecloth over yourself.
Maybe that’s what it is. A tablecloth.
Nice sleeves though, and a nice length!

  4. I love it! It’s got that 60′s hippie-esque vibe with both the print and the cut which is soo popular recently, and It would work perfectly on anyone with a small frame (LIKE ME!!).
You could definitely winterize this by pairing it with thick knit tights and flats/heels/boots, with maybe a cardigan over it or long knit gloves, then a military style jacket or a peacoat. Wear your hair down and wavy and add a headband and you’ve got something that is very “Gossip Girl”. :) Cute.

  5. I’m not filled with loathing, but I wouldn’t buy it. In fact, I wouldn’t even wear it if someone gave it to me. But then, I don’t feel comfortable in large, bright splashy prints like that.
    Color me drab.
Wait. I changed my mind. I do loathe it and I don’t really want to see anyone wearing it. Too garish.

  6. I think it’s gorgeous! Especially with the simple shoes and tights the model is wearing it with. This is definitely something I would wear!
