For a while now, The Fashion Police have been picking up murmurings about “the return of boho”. Now, these Yves St Laurent boots would probably fit in pretty well with that whole vibe, but we still haven’t fully recovered from the last onslaught of boho, so we’re not sure if we should allow the “trend” to go any further, or if we should just whisk these off to the Fashion Police jail and hope that’s the last we hear of it.
The thing is, there’s a part of us that quite likes these. They look good quality, they’re different from all the other boring knee high boots out there and… did we mention the quality? On the other hand, though, they look a lot like mutant clogs, too, and when we try to imagine clopping along in them, we’re reminded of the sound Shire horses hooves make when they clop along.
What do you think, readers? To the Fashion Police jail, or do these deserve a reprieve?

I love them. My least favourite part is the sole; the shape of it is a bit odd, but I can overlook it because I love that patchwork effect and that rich, rich colour.
Loved them… until I scrolled down and saw the heels. No. No. No.
I agree with others: love them, but not the weirdo heels. If they kept the studs but had a regular heel, or even a flat heel, they’d be really beautiful.
I love the boho style, but isn’t it pretty much always around in some form or another? Kind of like Goth! Only sometimes it goes mainstream in a big way.
just a normal sole, maybe even a bit of platform, and a stiletto heel, and they would’ve been beautiful!
I like them – heels and all!
*sigh* Such nice boots, and they had to ruin them by trying to be creative.
Ouch ….!
I love them! I think the heels are the best part!
Fug! The heels remind me of some 80′s/shock/glam/I dunno rocker. A sort of mix between the likes of David Bowie and Marylin Manson somehow. I don’t know, but those heels and the base are just tacky.
The rest of the boot isn’t so bad.
Sole, I always forget words in short notice.
But perhaps they are at least comfier due to that look.
I’m not crazy about the patchwork, but I HATE the sole. If I accidentally stepped on someone’s toes while wearing those, they would never forgive me…
ugh, the sole ruined it ..
minx,
xoxo .
maybe someone out there can wear these boots. Not me though, b/c I’m black and this is the same color as my skin- so I have a pastel pair without the funky heal and even doesn’t match /any/one’s skin color.
This shoe immediately reminds me of a second skin I think, a second, wrinkly, zombie skin made out of african americans, kind of like what that guy from silence of the lambs was going for.
Ooh, very 90′s!
I liked them until I scrolled down and saw the bottom…A simple heel would suffice! I guess they’re okay though.
