Dress of the Day: Marchesa layered ruffle dress

Want to see out 2008 with a bang? The Fashion Police present red-carpet favourites Marchesa, and their £2,600 layered ruffle dress. Sure, you’ll be eating ramen noodles from now until Spring, and some people may look at you a bit funny, but you will be the talk of the New Year’s party, we promise.

One word… WOW!
One word… UGLY!
If you want your dress to shoot ink out of its fuschia sucker pads this New Year this is the dress for you!
Um… am I missing something? Are octopus-skin dresses the new latest thing?
It might look good on a supermodel.
Jellyfish
Kind of like it….
Heh, nice one JC, I was just about to say how much it reminds me of some kind of deep sea fish. I don’t like it in the least…
this is the most disgusting dress iv ever seen in my life, im a model and i wouldnt be seen dead in that no matter what the label was, its bland, boring, shapeless and a vile material, normally you guys do good, but this, this is a crime the fashion police missed!
Other than that the wearer will look like she is being swallowed by some strange alien amoeba/ squid monster, it is a nice color.
I love the colour and the concept but seriously doubt that anyone, even models, look good in that pleated fabric. It would also be interesting to see this dress on a person to see what effect that would have on the ruffles–would they appear floaty or just make you look like a giant Christmas ornament?
