Wow. Kate Winslet hasn’t crossed the Fashion Police radar for a while now, but here she is, back with a bang (so to speak) on the cover of December’s Vanity Fair, channeling Catherine Deneuve and looking almost unrecognisable at first glance.
We think she looks fantastic here, having fun with a completely different image, but what do you think of Kate on the cover, Fashion Police jurors? Hit or miss?

The question isn’t hit or miss, it’s photoshop or heavy photoshop.
Haha, yes, that too, E! It’s weird, because Kate Winslet has always been so emphatically against photoshopping of her images, and yet her magazine covers are often unrecognisable….
I’m on board anytime catherine deneuve is involved, and Kate does look stunning here, it’s just that it’s not very “her”…obviously. But I never…EVER placed Kate and Catherine in the same world. But whatever, she probably had fun with it and the photoshopper had fun with it so…s’cool.
She looks more like a blonde Monica Belucci. If she actually looked like that, it would be a good thing. I think perhaps shes got a bit too Hollywood and has lost touch.
I’ve always thought Winslet was a very beautiful woman, and while I think I prefer the more natural look she generally has, she still looks drop-dead gorgeous here.
I think she looks amazing but it does look heavily photoshopped and part of her chin looks to be missing.
Still – she looks incredible!
I think the photoshop comments are kinda mean. Kate has always had great skin, and she is naturally stunning. As far as her body is concerned, it’s covered by the coat. I imagine that every cover has to be airbrushed at least a little bit, but I certainly don’t think Kate looks unrecognizable.
The wavy hair/dark brows/scantily clad-ness reminds me of a “Show Girls” era Elizabeth Berkley. And not in a good way.

Natasha, to be honest I think it’s a shame that people can’t even comment that a photo has been photoshopped (which it clearly has – as you say yourself, every magazine cover is photoshopped to some extent) without being called “mean” for it. I don’t think anyone intends to be offensive: in fact, most people have said that she looks stunning, albeit different – and a lot of that is due to the styling of the shot.
Wow, that is so heavily photoshopped that my husband (who is as big of a Kate Winslett fan as I) didn’t even recognize her.
I think she looks absolutely gorgeous! I think that it might have been photo shopped a little bit, but the last time I remember seeing Kate was in Titanic =) HAHA! Either way she looks beautiful!
I like the general look and imagine it would suit Kate Winslet. I actually think it’s insulting to her to do such a big photoshop job – I mean, how would you feel if you were photographed for a magazine cover and they made you unrecognisable? – you’d end up thinking you’re ugly. (Oh wait, apparently just like a large proportion of the readers end up feeling, having looked at endless photoshopped pictures…)
I think she looks bloody great.. and it’s not unrecognizable since you did all recognize her, no?
Just to clarify: I like Kate Winslet, I think she’s stunningly beautiful. That’s why it’s such a shame. I didn’t even recognize her here. Never had the intention of being mean, though.
I wouldn’t have recognised her, sorry…
Other than that, I do like the style of the picture but dislike the endless magazin covers of heavily photoshopped celebrities.
WOW. She reminds me of Sharon Stone.. but I think Kate is much prettier and she looks fantastic here.
