Dress of the Day: Green silk open-back dress from Whistles

We know what you're probably thinking, and yes, you're partly right. This dress is mostly here because of the gorgeous green colour, but it's also the kind of classic, easy-to-wear shape that needs only a great pair of heels and a pretty clutch bag to be one of the most stunning looks of the evening.

Be ye not alarmed by the "open back" referenced in the title, either: yes, the back is slashed from neck to waistline at the back, so you're going to need those weird stick-on bras if you feel the need for some support, but the opening isn't too wide, or too trashy looking, and we actually think it adds an extra point of interest to the dress.
