Fraud Squad: Marc Jacobs V. Moniko Claire
Excuse us for having Halloween costumes on the brain today, but this Moniko Claire dress is such a very cheap looking copy of Marc Jacobs' Alessandra dress that the girl on the right looks almost as if she's in fancy dress as the girl on the left, no? Like she bought her dress from one of those cheap fancy dress sites, as some kind of pre-prepared 'Marc Jacobs' costume or something.
Ironically enough, though, this isn't exactly a "cheap" option. It's $210 to the $428 original price of the Marc Jacobs dress, but given that the original went down to $150 in the Neiman Marcus sale before selling out, we think you'd be kicking yourself if you ended up paying more than that for the copy, don't you?

I wouldn;t buy the fake dress even if it was cheaper, because it looks really horrible and really cheap. yuck!

The Moniko Claire dress is hideous! It looks like a clown costume and those shoes are just awful. The Marc Jacobs dress is beautifully tailored and fitted. Much better.

I agree. The Moniko Claire dress just doesn't look right.. And I don't like that orangey color, unless that's just lighting. I love the pure, deep, red of the Marc Jacobs and I love the way the bow looks.
Plus, the shoes ARE better too. ;]
