I’ve never spent a fortune on clothes anyway, and i’ve had to stop buying shoes because I have too many lol – but this decision would have come without the credit crunch.
I’ve noticed that my money doesn’t stretch as far now though with petrol prices & gas/electic bills rising. I tend to cut back on nights out & have more girly nights in with friends and a bottle of wine (helps my buying clothes for nights out budget too!)

Ive been buying more second hand games for my ps2, rather than clothes now…..got too much…

Most definitely. I find myself passing on clothing I wouldn’t have passed on before. I just can’t afford them. My shoe collection has definitely been a major victim of this financial crisis!

I haven’t been spending as much on clothes, but it’s not really because of the economic crisis. I still have my job and I’m making as much money as ever, and I have a relatively good amount of job security. I haven’t been spending as much simply because lately I haven’t had as many gaps to fill in my wardrobe, and I’ve been burnt out on shopping from not liking a lot of what’s in style now. I’ve been spending more going out to eat, though!

I am trying to be more careful, though as a student, I already have to be more frugal than most! In truth, though, the main thing curbing my spending is the realisation that I already have too many clothes and cannot justify more

Well I have dependents so they come first… If I didn’t have them, it’d be fashion all the way!

My finances have been improving lately so I’m actually spending more. Should they decline, I will economize in utilities and other household expenses first before cutting into my fashion budget. Like they say, it’s all about prioritizing and I put clothes before anything else.

I’ve cut back spending but mostly because I’ve started school and I’m not making the same paycheck as I was 4 months ago
