Boot Sleeves: turn your shoes into “boots”

Boot_sleeves

Now, we know what you’re thinking, but no, these are neither socks nor leg-warmers: they are, in fact, "Boot Sleeves", and as the name suggests, they’re basically "sleeves" that you pull on over your shoes in order to instantly transform them into "boots".

The problem with this, of course, is that as far as we can see, the "Boot Sleeves" do nothing of the sort, and instead, make your shoes look like… shoes worn with a sleeve over the top of them. Oh well. If that just so happens to be the look you’re after, you can buy them here.

(Thanks to Kelsey for the report!)

Strange. When I was at LCF all the fashion students used to wear legwarmers over their shoes like this. That was 5 years ago.

  2. Kelly says:

    I think they’re just oddly-named, fancied-up spats.

  3. Jilly says:

I actually think they are really cute.
    *hides*

  4. Ella says:

I actually agree with Jilly… this look is kinda kickin’.

  5. Steph says:

I quite like it too… sorry! But then, I’ve always like spats!

  6. Maddie says:

    I like it too!!

  7. Not sure why everyone’s apologising for liking these? We weren’t saying there was anything wrong with them!

  8. Helen says:

    keep your feet toasty

  9. ramona says:

I think it looks stupid ><

  10. Ivana says:

I like them and my boyfriend thinks they’re super sexy! If you didn’t already know, they have so many other accessories. I love their “BootLeggerz” which are furs that you can fasten onto your boots! I’ve never seen anything like this.

  11. Lisa says:

I think they’re awesomely cute, but you’d have to be under a certain age, or extremely confident to pull this look off.

I just ordered Boot Sleeve number seven (BS07) on their site. It is black with a hint of shimmer. I am planning to wear that with a chic fitted black dress to a special event in New York. I want to be the one to stand out;)
What do you girls think of the Ugg fur? I am 35 but look 29. Think I can pull it off??

  13. Shelley – why not ask Ivana if you can borrow hers? She’s posting from the same computer as you, so presumably you two know each other?

    She’s my roomate!

  15. Pamila Sum says:

I’m 38, so wasn’t sure at first if they were for me. But I bought the plain black pairs and wear them in the subway on my way to work and take them off at the office! I can’t wear boots, I have “healthy” calves and cannot fit into tall boots!

Those are uber adorable! I’ve loved “boot sleeves” (I didn’t know the name until now) ever since I first saw them sprouting up.
