Walter Van Beirendonck’s ‘Happy Knit’ – does it make you happy?

happy knit Walter Van Beirendoncks Happy Knit does it make you happy? Are you feeling happy yet? More to the point, perhaps: are you feeling £1,089 (over $2000) worth of "happy"? You should be – that’s how much this chunky knitted sweater by Walter Van Beirendonck will cost you, and for that amount, we’d want it to make us feel very happy indeed…

On the plus side it looks like it’ll keep you warm, and will also allow you to look like you were drawn by a four year old. Which could be… fun. Would it convince you to spend over $2000, though, that’s the question?

  1. Wow. $2000 could buy me a lot of things that would make me happy; this sweater is definitely NOT one of those things. In fact, just looking at it makes me unhappy!

  2. It does not make me happy to think of putting a giant thick contrast braid around my waist!! With even more oversized embelishment on the hips.
Looks sort of like a weird cake. I can only think that Walter hates women, and has a food obsession.

  3. I’m a knitter. This sort of thing brings disrepute to the whole concept of knitting, and jumpers in general. It doesn’t make me happy. More scared.

  4. Well… I really see myself hugging that sweater. I guess there would be a lot to say about the woman wearing this.. Either she is very rich or as very rich “friends” among other things.. The hamburger floatie are 3 classic bandanna design from the 80s.. but for 2000 bucks, no way! Just learn to do it yourself if you really like it!

  5. It does look cozy. I think that if i got the chance to wear it, I probably would. It’s so ridiculous I’d just have to try it on.
