Nordstrom describe the colour of this dress as “platinum”. Nice, isn’t it?
The fabric itself is much better viewed in close-up, because this small photo really doesn’t do it justice: it’s slightly textured looking, and the double belt has two rhinestone-studded fastenings, which are just enough to dress it up a little without being too “blingy”. The sweetheart neckline, meanwhile, is demure enough to balance out the short length of the skirt.
We love this colour, but the dress is also available in black if you prefer it. It’s by Nanette Lepore and will cost you $395 at Nordstrom.
It looks nice, but it’d be a lot more versatile and a lot more attractive to me if the skirt was longer. As it is, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t pay nearly $400 for a dress that would make my thighs look fat.
BUT, nice color and style. Good pick.
