Dress of the Day: Jacquard corsage mini prom dress from Warehouse

Corsage_prom_dress Ah, the colours, the colours! They’re as refreshing as a long cold drink on a hot day, aren’t they? They’re also a really good way to make your dress stand out from all of the LBDs as the Christmas cocktail party, and that fact alone gets this dress from Warehouse the thumbs-up from us.

Jacquard always strikes us as a very “wintry” fabric, which makes up for the cool blues and greens of this dress, while the corsage detail on the sash dresses it up that little bit more. The thick fabric means you’ll also be able to get away with wearing it with opaque tights if you need a little bit of extra warmth…

Gorgeous colour! I would love something like this for my office Christmas party but it’s waaaaaay too short!

On a complete side note, can we have a party dresses special (maybe leaning towards the less expensive end?) at some point, what with the season coming up and all? Pretty please??!

It’s gorgeous; I wish I had that kind of life…

Gorgeous but… Jacquard always makes me think of soft furnishing – very expensive, good quality ones, but curtains and sofas, ok maybe Chaise Lounge, nonetheless!
I do agree with you though, a good winter party dress, I just hope you don’t end up having a Garden State moment as you realise you’ve worn the same thing as the venue! (In those colours you should be safe I guess)

It reminds me very much of some terrible curtains at an old boyfriend’s mother’s house.
