Dress of the Day: Glamorous tweed dress from Karen Millen

Tweed_dress_2  Given our love for forties-inspired fashion, this Karen Millen dress was always going to end up as a Dress of the Day, so here it is…

“Glamorous” is their word, not ours, but we can’t disagree with it, and we love the nipped-in waist and sweetheart neckline, which add a sexy twist to the traditional tweed pencil dress.

Stilettos and seamed stockings will complete the ladylike look, but if you want to accessorize it further, Karen Millen have also created a matching tweed jacket and cape , the latter of which will help you look even more like a silent movie heroine.

This is £160 at Karen Millen.

this is truly lovely, especially with the flaring at the back.
But you’d have to do the whole seamed stockings and wartime hair-do to go with it, to do it full justice! Just too tempting!

Yay! Well, you know I love it and it fits like a dream. I’d love the cape, but I had to draw the line at going into my overdraft…
