Things that make you go ‘hmmm’: the convertible jacket

Convertible_jacket

Now, we’re not calling this a crime of fashion, exactly – there’s nothing particularly objectionable about it after all, but it does make us scratch our heads a little, and wonder: why would you want a convertible jacket? Or, more to the point: why would you want a jacket that converts in this particular way? Because when you zip off the bottom half (yes, there is a zip securing bottom to top), you’re left with what basically amounts to a shrug-jacket. And a cold belly.

This is $135.90 at Nordstrom. Tell us, though: would you buy it?

if it were cheaper, sure i would.
it can be worn on a cold fall day or a warmer spring day. this is more of a year round jacket i think, because of the convertible feature.
    i like it!

Because of the convertible feature, it becomes a year round piece instead of just fall or just spring.
    Plus its cute both ways!
    love it.

    Oooh, it’s really pretty!

  4. Kate says:

I do like it! In general, I love how those half-cropped articles accentuate my waist, and this is cute in both its forms.

  5. I don’t know. Something about it just seems … young. Like it might look a bit silly on anyone over 21.

  6. Agent Elle says:

I’d wear it. I love short cardigans actually, so this would be nice.

  7. izzi says:

in ‘converted mode’ it looks exactly like a jacket with a chunk missing off the bottom
