Strange Shoes: Balenciaga S/S 09
Balenciaga isn't a brand that's ever been known for being "boring" or safe, it's true, but we think they've outdone themselves with these exhibits from the S/S 09 collection, don't you?
These basically give the impression that your stockinged feet have been superglued onto some puffy marshmallow soles. Interesting concept but we really can't wait to see how they're going to make these shoes translate to the real world, when it comes time to actually start selling this collection. Or whether anyone will actually buy them...
Tenner says VB will be wearing them very soon...

Balenciaga just needs to quit making shoes! Beyonce wore their ugly Legos, but I can't picture even her in these.

I've been noticing a real fascination with futuristic-inspired footwear lately. These remind me of the wearable motorcycle and other such technologies. It's interesting, if anything.
