AnnaLynne McCord falls foul of “pants are not leggings” rule. Does she get away with it?
If you’ve watched any episode’s of 90210 lately, you won’t need The Fashion Police to tell you that AnnaLynne McCord’s character, Naomi, has something of an … interesting…. dress sense. And so, it would seem, does AnnaLynne herself. Here she is at the Blackberry Storm launch, totally flouting the “leggings are not pants” rule of fashion by… wearing leggings as pants. And then wiggling her ass in our faces just in case we didn’t notice it.
Now, here’s the thing: rules are meant to be broken, and we actually think there are some girls out there who can totally get away with the “leggings as pants”. Yes, we do. What we want to know is: should we count AnnaLynne here among them?
What do you think of this look, readers? Does she deserve a Fashion Police warning, or, given that there are so many celebrities (and non-celebrities) dressing like this right now, should she get off scot-free?
I think she gets away with it – since they’re from PVC or something much like it they look less like tigths and more like trousers and unlike most of us she has nothing to hide in the tummy area.
Hmm. I think they may be PVC skinny pants. Maybe. Either way, definitely a crime–her outfit, and everything she wears on the show.
I think it’s OK. They seem to be PVC skinny pants to me as well. If she had actually worn leggings with the outfit i think we’d see alot more thigh curvature…I’m actually liking this look, it’s rockin’
I think she looks fine. It may not look so good in the street, but for a media junket… fine.
I think the leggings / PVC pants work, but not with those patent leather court shoes.
you can see her braaa on the shoulders… that bothers me most of all…
She gets away with it..somewhat…I feel the shirt could’ve been a tad longer -as it is, the short shirt paired with an even shorter vest on top makes her hips & thighs look wider even though she’s so skinny anyway. Also I don’t know if it’s just in the picture or what, but if you’re going for the monochrome look…make sure your top is the right colour of white- the one she’s wearing looks like it’s a sheer cream-y, and it kinda comes off dirty looking. It would’ve looked a lot better had it been a SOLID white t-shirt.
Personally, I like it – although I second the sentiments of Rock Hyrax – patent shoes with patent leggings is a bit OTT – but aside from that it looks fine.
I would wear that outfit!
