Slicker Lace-Up rubber boots by Michael Kors – where would you wear them?
Shoes like this continue to confuse us. The practical-looking rubber uppers, you see, seem to be saying, "Hey, lookit us! We’re off for a long walk in the muddy countyside!" But then the high heels seem to be saying, "Er, no we’re not."
Which of these two conflicting voices is telling the truth? Just where did Michael Kors envisage people wearing these boots, which aren’t practical enough for rugged, outdoor pursuits, and not stylish enough for… well, for anything else, basically.
Oh, and they’re ugly. Why must rubber boots always be ugly? (Oh yeah, because they’re rubber boots. Our mistake.)
Help us out here, readers: tell us where you’d wear these boots – if, of course, you’d wear them at all…
I can’t envision an occasion on which to wear them…unless maybe someone wants to throw a slightly formal party in a swamp?
they look like ‘muckers’ (only with a heel) – shoes to muck out horses in! Lovely. (not)
These boots get zero love from me. There is no situation where these would be appropriate.
Remember when high-heeled Timerlands were popular, about 5 years ago? I’ll still stick to my wellies, I think.
Oops, I meant Timberlands.
This is a pet peeve of mine – I’m a vegetarian and I try not to buy, eat or wear anything which has animal products in it. This makes buying shoes and boots which you can actually wear day to day and not be embarrassed by rather difficult, as I’m sure you can imagine thanks to this perfect illustration!
I don’t like the color of these boots. However I believe these shoes are definitely comfortable. The heels look really stable….
He probably envisioned them in a music video or something.
I would wear these when it is raining and on the way out to either the mall or friends. I like them,,,,
Apparently, I am one of the few people on this planet who think these boots are really cool…in fact, I just received mine in the mail except I ordered the blue & natural leather color! Yes, I am from Maine – “L.L. Bean boot” territory – and so these high heel “Bean boots” are a great twist to some typical winter Maine-wear. Plus, I like the shock value. I plan on wearing them apres-ski, all over town, to work, anywhere and anytime there’s snow.

I really, really, really like these boots! they look pretty cosy and really stylish! I’m in love..
It’s pretty, but inless you’re wearing an Edwardian costume, there’s nothing it would go with.
I have these boots and I wear them on the weekend. They are cute and high and it is nice to be able to wear heels that are waterproof. I believe that only truly stylish and unique people can wear them.
I love them, wear them with a pair of skinnies on a messy, ugly day and they will have the ability of making you feel great on such a gross day.
