The times, they are a-changin’ in the wonderful world of fashion. Jeans are getting higher in the waist. Bikini bottoms are getting higher in the waist. So we guess it was just a matter of time before lingerie followed suit, and now it has. These high rise panties are from Twin Syndrome Design Works on Etsy, and cost $20 each.
Would you wear them, though?
Well, they look super-comfortable and are probably nice and cosy for the winter, but The Fashion Police never did buy into the high-waisted jeans look, and we think these might look a little bit odd sticking out of the top of our hipsters. So that would be a “probably not” from us, but what do you think, fashion fans? If you like them, you can buy them here.

At first I thought those were pretty cute swimsuits.. But if they’re supposed to be underwear then agh just no. I have a feeling the top part of those “panties” would roll off constantly, maybe go over your trousers for extra embarassment.
I thin Arisa might be right about them rolling down.. They also remind me of control pants a bit which isn’t great.
Sure they’d keep your tummy warm this winter but mine only gets cold when my hipsters and my tops don’t quite meet and I don’t really want my undies peaking through! I guess they could be good if you’re wearing high waisted trousers but I don’t see the need personally
Never.
They *might* come in handy for the eternally frozen, like me, who don’t want any skin to peek out between trousers and top. I usually solve it by wearing an extra long top under everything else, but approaching the problem from the other direction (ha!) might work too. Unless they roll down. I refuse to wear suspenders for my underwear.
Reminds me instantly of the embarrassing scene in Bridget Jones
I think they’re quite clever. They’re probably like Spanx, but not going to be as restricting, so would hold your tummy in a little bit with a dress or something.
Other than that I see no purpose of them!
I spend a lot of time trying to keep my camis tucked into my pants so I don’t show off my skin between shirt/pants if I bend over or reach to get something. I don’t see that these would look a lot different than that, and they’d be way more practical.
Hipsters? I thought this was a place where bad clothes were banished?
I can only think of the huge wedie they would give you. :[ And if you’re wearing a white top over them? Disturbing.
I could see it, like others have said, to prevent that gap between shirt and pants.
But I keep thinking–wouldn’t they just look *bizarre* when they’re not on? I can’t imagine these things residing in my underwear drawer next to the regular ol’ bikinis and thongs. They seem more like a piece of apparel than an underthing.
Why not just wear a long shirt to solve the problem instead?
I keep looking at them and thinking “well, I could see maybe wearing them if…” and then realizing “no, no that still wouldn’t work, because…”
So, Nope.
