(Click image to enlarge)The world of celebrity fashion has been continuing to bore us lately, with a lot of celebs choosing to play it safe in the type of outfits that look nice enough, but don’t exactly leave us wanting to turn Fashion Criminal ourselves, and find a way to raid their closets.
Still, it’s part of our police duties to report on what the rich and famous are wearing, and with that in mind, we bring you this “Teen Choice Awards 2008″ edition of “Best Dressed. We’ve selected Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson and Sophia Bush to stand trial today, leaving it up to you, the jury, to decide: who was the best dressed – and why? You’ll find a handy poll located just under the jump, but we’d love to hear the reasons for your vote, which you can leave in the comments box below…
for me it was a toss-up between leighton who’s color selection and hair are perfection, and rach el who does everything right and has the best shoes.
i voted rachel… but it’s close. blake’s a hit with me — her legs look amazing. love the color too.
i don’t like sophia bush’s look and i don’t know why — the redundancy of the belt/bracelet? seems pretty trivial. the length? would like it better if it was to the knee without the slit.
I would have said Rachel if she hadn’t lost one of her sleeves, but I’m going to have to vote Sophia. Leighton’s dress is overpowering her figure, even though the color is good, and Blake lost points for the overall tightness and shortness of her dress (I’m all for one or the other, but generally not both!). So even though I dislike empire waists as a rule, Sophia wins my vote for a good color and a dress that mixes pretty and sexy, with the usually-strange combo of floral and a slit up to whoa.
Too long.
Too short.
Too blah.
Too many flowers and why does she have a train?
Had to go with Blake on this one. The color suits her and she at least looks comfortable in the style. I’d like to see it just a touch longer, though. Leighton needs to take about 3i off the hem and get more delicate shoes. Rachel needs a different color and a better style if she’s going to do the one-shoulder thing. Sophia isn’t dressed for the occasion – it’s too old and too formal.
At first blush, I preferred Blake Lively in her purple dress and black heels. But Rachel won me over because it’s hot. The weather, not her look. If Blake had paired the dress with metallic shoes…. But for me, dark dresses with dark heels, at the Teen choice awards? Too serious, too evening, too…fall. Not ready yet. Rachel looked like summer.
For me, out of these four, I go with Blake – I loved her purple one-shouldered dress with the huge belt – very fab indeed !!
However, my favourite dress out of all of the guests, was actually worn by Kim Kardashian, a white 50s style Prom dress – it looked absolutely fabulous, even though her hair could have done with a bit more styling to go with it !!
I had a good look at this whole event on my own website, and came up with as many disasters as great Looks…three of your picks coincided with my choices for Good dresses, but I must admit, I really didn’t like Leighton Meester’s frumpy green effort – it could have looked so much better !!
Sophia Bush – it’s a sexy dress, but it’s not inappropriate.

Blake’s legs look amazing in that dress but my vote was for Rachel – I think the whole look is perfect and I love the colour of the dress.
Blake’s the only one who didn’t conjure up a snore from me, so I went with her.

I think that Blake Lively is the best, Rachel Bilson is a little over, Leighton Meester and Sophia Bush are so… normal!
